Part 14. The Scheme of World History. Great Prophets and the Last Prophecy. Rajat (the Return)

Part 14. The Scheme of World History. Great Prophets and the Last Prophecy. Rajat (the Return)

Talking about the world of Zarr, we have mentioned that the spirit of that world and in general of all worlds is the taklif, that is, the call of the Almighty to the creatures, in accordance with the answer to which they form themselves, setting up in front of themselves a mirror of the answer, where they will be reflected in the next world.

Man is a combination of two aspects – giving and receiving, impressing and expressing, affirming and denying. Our passage through the worlds is the refraction of our original form, which is the shining Haikel of Tawhid, in the prism of our deeds. This is similar to how white light, passing through the prism, is refracted into all the colors of the rainbow. And if the prism is damaged, it can refract the light so that it turns black. The white light will become black, its own opposite. Therefore, we need to remember: we are originally the white light, and we must preserve this whiteness.

Allah created all creatures to worship Him. “I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me” (51: 56). This was the original Fitra of the creations on which they were created. And in this Fitra, there is no difference between them. All humans are created as the Haikel of Tawhid. Differences are not in the nature of people, that is, not in their being but their individual form. Since the person is this person – Amr, Zeid, Michael – so far, he can deviate from his Fitra, his original form, his being, and create a new dark form for himself.

In our world, the same process of passing through the prism takes place, constituting the inner essence of human history. And as in the worlds of Zarr, the taklif was fulfilled through the questions: “Am I not your Lord? And is Muhammad not your Prophet? And are Ali and the Imams from his offspring not your Imams?” – so in our world, it is realized through the call of the Prophets. There are five Prophets called ulu l-azm, “the owners of determination,” i.e., the great Prophets – Nuh, Ibrahim, Musa, Isa, and Muhammad (S). Adding here Adam, “the father of mankind,” who was the first Prophet, we get six stages corresponding to the stages of human formation in the womb. These stages constitute the process of inner sacred history, forming the humankind embryo.

And here, it is quite essential to mention such an important subject that in the creation of Allah, the small corresponds to the large, the internal to the external, the microcosm to the macrocosm. As Imam Ali (A) said: “You think that you are only a small body, but a great world is hidden within you.”

The universal rule is that the great world is hidden inside the small one; the microcosm reflects the macrocosm. The Quran says about this in surah “Mulk”: “You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return your vision; do you see any breaks?” (67: 3).

And in the verse of the surah “Explained,” it is said: “We will show them Our signs in the universe and themselves so that they know that this is the truth” (41: 53). “In the universe” – that is, around the world, “in themselves” – that is, in their souls.

Our earthly world corresponds to the higher worlds; human corresponds to the entire creation. We have already pointed out some of these correspondences. We have said that our intellect or spirit corresponds to the Universal Intellect, which is the upper right pillar of the Throne, white light, Holy Spirit, the Writing cane, and the first branch of the tree of eternity. Our soul corresponds to the Universal Soul, which is the green light, the lower right pillar of the Throne, the Preserved Tablet, the Lote Tree of the Utmost Boundary, and the soul of the Imam. Further, we have said that water in our earthly world is a manifestation of the highest water, that is, the light of being and the matter of the worlds. Our Sun is a manifestation of the Sun of the worlds, that is, Muhammad’s Reality.

And in the same way, if you look at our material universe, you will see that the principle of rotation is universal. Everything revolves around everything: an electron around the nucleus of an atom, a planet around the Sun, the Sun around the center of the Milky Way galaxy, the galaxy around the common center of the universe… And this is also a manifestation of an even more universal principle that applies to all worlds because the entire creation of Allah (in which our physical universe is like a grain in sand) is a sphere revolving around its center, that is, the created Will, the Mashiyya of the Almighty, which is one with the Light of Muhammad.

And the same is the inner world of man because our vegetative soul revolves around the animal one, the animal – around the speaking one, and the speaking soul revolves around the intellect or spirit. Therefore, in Hajj, we revolve around the Kaaba. Here is the root of Tawaf… And generally speaking, all the rules of Sharia have their own cosmic, ontological prototype. They reproduce the internal scheme of the universe.

And therefore, each verse of the Quran also has internal and external meanings. For example, “Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed” (79: 17). In the outside world, this means the call of Musa (A) to Pharaoh. But in the inner world, this means the response to the rebellion of the Pharaoh of our nafs, “the soul that calls for evil,” the inner Pharaoh of passions and sins.

So, we have seen that in the creation of Allah, each part corresponds to other parts. There is no separation between them: “You do not see in the creation of the Most Merciful any inconsistency. So return your vision; do you see any breaks?” (67: 3). What does all this mean on the plane of the history of Adam’s descendants? This means that the stages of humankind’s development correspond to the stages of development of each individual person.

In surah “The Believers,” we read, “And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. Then We placed it by seed in a safe place; then fashioned We the seed a clot, then fashioned We the clot a little lump, then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators!” (23: 12-14).

“Produced it as another creation” – that is, breathed the spirit into him, as Ali ibn Ibrahim quotes from Imam Baqir (A).

And these are the six stages of prophecy. The call of Adam corresponds to the seed (nutfa), the call of Nuh to the clot (alaka), the call of Ibrahim to the lump (mudgha), the call of Musa to the bones (izam), and the call of Isa to the flesh (lahm).

Finally, at the last stage, which is the call of Muhammad (S), the spirit is breathed into this structure, into this embryo. After the spirit is breathed into a person, he does not lose touch with it until his death: in the same way, the Revelation and Sharia of Muhammad (S) will exist until the end of this world (the Day of Judgment).

These are the six stages in embryo formation and the six stages in the formation of human history. At the macrocosm level, they correspond to the six stages of the creation of the world: “It is Allah Who created the heavens and the earth and whatever is between them in six days” (32: 4).

Ibrahim’s call corresponds to the stage of mudgha, “a little lump,” and the hadith says that this stage occurs after four months of pregnancy. At this stage, angels record a person’s future fate, gender, life span, and provision. And in the same way, if we look at Ibrahim (peace be upon him), then we will see that all three branches of Monotheism came from him (the so-called “Abrahamic religions”). That is why he is called “the father of Monotheism” in the historical sense: after him, the paradigm of Monotheism became explicit, defined in world history.

The call and Sharia of Musa (A) correspond to the stage of bone formation in the embryo. Therefore, we see that Musa’s Sharia (A) was aimed mainly at strengthening such a thing as divine law, precisely in this earthly world. There are very few references to the future world in the Torah, in contrast to the Quran. Yes, today’s Torah is distorted, but still, it contains a certain image of the original Torah. It was a very harsh Sharia, as mentioned in the hadiths. For example, if Islamic prayers are accepted everywhere, the prayers of the Jews were accepted only in the promised land and especially in the Jerusalem Temple. Bones are something rigid; they are the frame of the body. And therefore, “Banu Israel” (the people of Israel) arises, with their law opposed the ocean of paganism in the ancient world.

The call of Jesus (A) corresponds to the stage of dressing the bones with flesh, that is, the final formation of the child in the womb. Therefore, through the call of Jesus, the paradigm of Monotheism – in the shell of “Christianity” – spreads throughout the world, which has never happened before. This means that the body of humanity is formed here.

The Quran says, “Indeed, the example of Jesus to Allah is like that of Adam. He created Him from dust; then He said to him, ʻBe,ʼ and he was” (3: 59). As we know, Jesus (A) was born through a divine miracle, without the father, and in this sense, he is like Adam, created without a father and mother. Because the prophetic cycle begins with Adam, and it ends with Jesus. That’s why he is called “Messiah,” “Masih,” from the word mas-h (“touching,” “taking away”). When Allah in the world of Zarr took out (masaha) from the loins of Adam his descendants, He returned them all, but Jesus (A) was not returned. That’s why he is called “Masih”: because this ʻmas-hʼ remained on him, and he was not born from the loins of the male offspring of Adam.

Finally, with the arrival of Muhammad (S), a spirit is breathed into this embryo of humanity, formed by the call of the previous Prophets. We have said that the prophetic cycle ends with Jesus (A), and therefore he is like Adam. The fact is that the prophecy of Muhammad (S) is the source of all Prophets and Revelations. It is a “super-prophecy,” so to speak. All the previous Prophets were sent through him, like rays from the Sun. The call of each of them is a cast from his call; their revelations are casts from the Quran. They are like mirrors placed in front of this Sun and reflecting its light from different angles. But what is the first in true time must be manifested last in earthly time. Therefore, he came last as khatamu nnabiyin, “the Seal of the Prophets.”

Thus, Muhammad (S) is not just one of the Prophets, but their universal principle, and from the radiance of his light, they were created. In his earthly manifestation, he is a Prophet; in his heavenly manifestation, he is the gate (bab) through which the Creator’s feiz (mercy) descends for all creatures, and in the super-heavenly manifestation, he is the Creator’s Light in the position of qaba qauseini aw adna, as it is said in sura “The Star”: “And was at a distance of two bows or even nearer” (53: 9), and this is the ocean of Allah’s Plan, His Mashiyya, which is one with the Light of Muhammad and the People of his House. And this is the highest being, ready to pour out, “even if the fire does not touch it” (24: 35) – the fire of the Will (Mashiyya). And this is “a similitude (masal) of the light of Allah” (24: 35), Who has no similarity (misl), “and for Allah is the highest similitude” (16: 60). And these are the “beautiful names of Allah,” that is, the names of the actions of Allah, by which Allah is known and by which they call Him because Allah is not known by His Essence.

And this is the Absolute Wilaya over all creation, which he and the People of his House (Ahl ul-Beit) possess as “the place of the Will of Allah” and the fulfillment of the Plan of Allah (Mashiyya). As Imam Kazim (A) said, “Indeed, Allah created the light of Muhammad from the light that He extracted from the light of His own greatness and glory. And this is the lahuti light (the most pure, coming from God), from where everything originates …” (“Gayatu l-maram” by Hashim Bahrani, p. 9).

And this is the position incomprehensible to the mind. In this position, they are above the Quran and above everything that Allah has created: they follow the Will of Allah in the depths of the possibilities to what is being created, will be created and not created, and the action of Allah goes before them into infinity.

Therefore: “Blessed is he who is in fire, and he who is around him” (27: 8). And “he who is in fire” is Muhammad (S), in the fire of Creator’s Will, which “lit from a blessed olive tree, neither of the East nor of the West” (24: 35); and “he who is around him” is Musa (A) while receiving his prophecy through him.

And when he raised the hand of the commander of the believers Ali (A) on the day of Gadir and said: man kuntu maulahu fa aliyun maula – “Of whomsoever I am a master, Ali is his master” – the birth of mankind in the proper sense of the word took place. Then the embryo of humankind came out of the mother’s belly and breathed the air.

Then, for three hundred years, twelve Imams (A) from his family gave spiritual milk to this child of humankind so that when he grew up and strengthened, he was weaned from the breast. And the weaning from the breast corresponds to the beginning of the Major Occultation of the last Imam (A).

We must bear in mind that what we are saying now is not some theory… This is true knowledge about how reality works, how everything was, and how it will be. You will not find this knowledge anywhere except in Muhammad (S) and the most pure Imams from the Household of Muhammad (S).

And about what will happen in the future and what awaits us, I would like to say the following. Allah has a long program for the human race. Our story is just beginning. It is naive modern people who think that they have already achieved everything and are “rational” and “progressive.” In fact, humankind is at the beginning of its history. In the 53rd volume of “Bihar,” there is a hadith that all this time from Adam to Imam Mahdi is only a fifth of the earthly world. Four-fifths is what? Four-fifths is the time of Rajat – the Return era.

The age of modern humankind corresponds to approximately 15-18 years, that is, the adolescence period. When a child reaches puberty, this is usually the most violent and depraved period of his life. This is the state of our present humanity, in which we are now and which will continue until the reappearance of the Imam of time. There is such a thing as “temporary insanity,” when a teenager who has fallen into puberty stops listening to his parents, abandons all authorities, seeks to escape from any care, loses logic in his actions. The same is the experience of humankind over the past two or three centuries. In its view, it does not need any “parents” (that is, Prophets), and it thinks that it knows everything. But never did it consider itself so reasonable as in this period of madness.

If you look at the state of modern humanity, you will see that we are actually playing… We are trying new and new technical inventions; we are doing experiments with ourselves; we are building either communism, liberalism, or something else… For some reason, we launch flying tins into space, swim to the bottom of the oceans, coin different theories… And just as a young man thinks that he has already comprehended everything, that he is already an adult and wise by experience – so modern mankind considers itself to be all-knowing, wise, reasonable, “rational.” But in reality, this is entirely wrong. And when the Imam of the time comes, he will manifest such knowledge, in comparison with which the modern knowledge will be like a drop in the ocean.

And usually, when a young man reaches the limit in his corruption, he begins to think about changing his lifestyle. Then, he gradually comes to reason. This kindling of the light of intellect in the darkness of mankind, tired of debauchery, is the arrival of the Imam. And today, we are already seeing the signs of people’s weariness from their path.

And just as the intellect or spirit is inside this depraved young man, but hidden and unmanifested – so the call, the Sharia, and the religion of Muhammad (S) are hidden and not manifested in today’s world, even despite the huge number of those who call themselves “Muslims.” All this exists as a plan, as a program, the realization of which will take place only with the arrival of the Imam, Qaim of the House of Muhammad (S), when the youth of mankind is over, and its maturity comes. Then the intellect of humankind will join it. “And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord” (39: 69) – that is, with the light of the Imam’s intellect.

And here is the reason for the Occultation. This reason is that humanity must mature and go through certain stages for the Imam to come and lead it. It is just like a child cannot become an adult right away.

And after the reappearance of Imam, the period of Rajat will begin, that is, the real history of mankind, to which the history we know was just a prelude.

Rajat means Return. This is a very long period that will last tens of thousands of years when all divine promises to the Prophets and their successors will be fulfilled, the laws of the universe will change, the Messenger of Allah (S) and all Imams (A) will return to earth and rule.

The Quran says, “The party of Allah, they are the victorious” (5: 56). But do we see in this Dunya that the party of Allah was ever victorious? On the contrary, the “party of Allah” invariably has become defeated, and the victors were the “party of Shaitan” – from Adam to our time. This verse refers to Rajat, until the onset of which Allah postponed the help to the “party of Allah” and its victory over the “party of Shaitan.” The angels at the creation of Adam had this in mind when they said, “Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we declare Your praise and sanctify You?” (2: 30). But when Allah showed them the victory of truth in Rajat, the Kingdom of Kingdoms and the Paradise of the Earth – that is, the final fulfillment of His program regarding this world – they fell silent and said, “Exalted are You; we have no knowledge except what You have taught us” (2: 32).

God’s plan must be realized and triumphed twice: once in this world and the second time in the world to come. Its victory in this world is Rajat, which will be initiated by the reappearance of Imam Mahdi (A).

The topic of Rajat is very long; we cannot talk about it in detail here. I would like to mention only the main eras of which the Rajat will consist:

 1. Karrah (“return”) – the return of the righteous and the wicked, group by group, person by person, and the return of the Infallible Imams (peace be upon them) one by one.

The era of Karrah will end with the return of Iblis with all his army from the beginning to the end of days, and the greatest battle in the history of mankind will take place between them and the army of the righteous under the leadership of Imam Ali (peace be upon him). And this is “the day of the time appointed” the Quran speaks of: “He said: Surely you are of the respited ones, till the day of the time appointed” (38: 80-81).

 2. The Kingdom of Kingdoms (dawlatu duwal) – the world state of Imam Ali (A), in which all Imams (A) will be his governors simultaneously, including Imam Mahdi (who will also return).

Imam Ali (A) said about this, “And I will have return after return, Rajat after Rajat, and I am the owner of returns and Rajats, and I am the owner of revenge and anger and the great states, and I am a horn of iron, and I am a slave of Allah, and I am a brother of the Messenger of Allah (S)” (Bihar, volume 53, p. 46). And in “Basair darajat” from Salman Farsi from Imam Ali (A), it is narrated, “I am the great Farruq, I am the master of the first Gathering and the master of the second Gathering, I am the owner of the red-hot iron, I am the owner of returns and the Kingdom of Kingdoms.”

 3. Paradise of the Earth (jannatu l-ard), or Muhammad’s Kingdom. This is a manifestation of the “two dark green gardens,” which are mentioned in the sura “Rahman,” that is, the paradise gardens of Barzakh (the same ones in which Adam was) – near Kufa, then in Mecca and Medina and further throughout the earth, so that the face of the earth will completely change. At the same time, the Kingdom of Kingdoms will turn into the “Paradise of the Earth” (or “Garden of the Earth” – Jannatu l-ard), that is, into Muhammad’s Kingdom that will become the final stage of all human history, after which the Day of Judgment will begin. That is why in the “Ziyarat of Imam Ali,” it is said about the Prophet Muhammad (S): “Sealing what preceded and revealing what will follow.”

In general, during Rajat, a mixture of the manifest and hidden worlds (gayb and shahada) will occur so that people will see jinn, angels, other worlds and civilizations, as well as the world of Barzakh. It will be the world of Dunya, but not similar to our world – to such an extent that now it is even difficult to imagine and impossible to describe.

And it is interesting that since all the Prophets were speaking about Rajat, traces of this belief can be clearly detected in the Bible. For example, in the Apocalypse (the Revelation to John) – a book that can be adequately understood only in the light of the traditions of Ahl ul-Beit (A) – it is said:

“And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that, he must be loosed a little season. And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them… They lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years” (Rev. 20: 1-10).

Since the text of the prophetic revelations in the Bible is distorted, the time and details of the Rajat are at odds with the traditions of the Imams (A); however, the concept per se can be traced quite clearly. After the second coming of Christ (who, as we know, will come simultaneously with Imam Mahdi), the “millennial kingdom” will come on earth in which the righteous will be resurrected and endowed with strength and authority, and the sinners will be punished. Satan’s rajat (return) is also mentioned: first, he will be “bound for a thousand years,” then return for the final battle. This concept was the subject of early Christian faith until the 5th century when it became hushed up and even banned by the official church.

Let’s also pay attention to this passage from the Apocalypse:

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of kings, and Master of masters.

And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God;

That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great.

And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army…” (19: 11-19).

The “King of kings and Master of masters” here is Imam Ali (A) in the era of “Kingdom of Kingdoms,” as he said:

Allah will raise the dead, and they will rise alive, host after host, responding: ʻHere we are, here we are, O you who calls to Allah! ʼ, filling all the roads of Kufa, carrying naked swords on their shoulders, to chop with them off the host of infidels, tyrants, and their supporters from the first and the last so that Allah would fulfill what He had promised them… And I will have return after return, Rajat after Rajat, and I am the owner of returns and Rajats, and I am the owner of revenge and anger and the great states, and I am a horn of iron, and I am a slave of Allah, and I am a brother of the Messenger of Allah (S)”.

It is also interesting that in a conversation with Pontius Pilate, Jesus says, “My kingdom is not of this world; if it were, my servants would fight to prevent My arrest by the Jews” (John 18:36). And he adds, “But now my kingdom is not of this realm.” This means that although now I have no kingdom and no power in this world, I will possess it sometime later, in the future. It is significant that in the canonical Latin translation of Saint Jerome (Vulgate) and all other Catholic translations, the word “now” has been prudently removed.

We find similar passages also in the Old Testament:

“In the time of those kings, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands – a rock that broke the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver and the gold to pieces. The great God has shown the king what will take place in the future. The dream is true and its interpretation is trustworthy” (Dan, 2: 44-45).

“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language served him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed” (Dan, 7: 13-14).

“Then the sovereignty, power and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will be an everlasting kingdom, and all rulers will serve and obey him” (Dan, 7: 27).

So, returning to what we have said about the correspondence of the epochs of world history to the age of an individual person… Rajat will correspond to the maturity of humankind. Then its whole intellect will manifest in all its glory.

And the arrival of the Messenger of Allah (S) in Rajat, that is, the onset of Muhammad’s Kingdom and Paradise of the Earth corresponds to the age of 40 years. The number “40” has a special meaning in Islam: each stage of the embryonicdevelopment lasts 40 days; at the beginning of the revelation, the Prophet (S) was 40 years old; 40 days were given to Musa (A); 40 weeks the pregnancy lasts; the human mind reaches its perfection at 40 years old. The number 40 in the Qur’an and hadith corresponds to maturity and perfection.

And under the same rule of Muhammad and the Household of Muhammad (S), the old age of mankind will come, which will become a preparation for his death, that is, the transition to the future world.

Then the Messenger of Allah (S) and all Imams (A) will be ascended to Allah, and between this ascension and the Trumpet of Israfil there will be forty days, during which the earth will be in turmoil and chaos. That will correspond to the death of mankind, followed by the Day of Judgment.

This is the general scheme of world history.

And here, we must pay attention to the following thing. We have said that a person has a side from his Lord, and this is his intellect (aql), which is the trace of the Mahiyya of Allah and the first light or being. And if a person follows this side, on which Allah created him, he becomes an example of the verse: “I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me” (51: 56).

The second side is his “I,” which is he himself with his individual passions, taken apart from his essence, from the common side. And this is his individual form, his “Ego,” the expression of which is nafs ammara, “the soul that calls for evil,” and this part essentially looks down towards darkness.

One cannot exist without the other since there is no form without matter, and there is no matter without form. If this individual form begins to follow the requirements of the universal essence, that is, the intellect in a person, it fills with its light, just as a log fills with fire. But if this form prevails, if a person looks at himself only as an independent “Ego,” the intellect turns into jahl (ignorance), just as the light of the Sun in a dim mirror turns into darkness.

And just as the essence of man and his light is intellect (aql), and his individual form is nafs ammara and darkness – the light of history and its intellect is the Prophets’ call, and its nafs ammara is everything that opposes it and deviates from it.

Thus, parallel to the call of the Prophets and Imams at the level of humankind, there is an opposite stream, the process of anti-call, which at the individual level of each person corresponds to the call of nafs ammara, i.e., the egoistic side opposing the intellect. And just as Prophets and Revelations are the intellect of world history, the opposing forces are the jahl (ignorance) of world history, its darkness and evil.

So, in history, we see one and the same line of light passing through it like a shining flash – from Adam to Muhammad (S) – and, opposite to it, there are countless individual forms invented by people themselves, which are the expression of the egoism of human race, its immanent Pharaoh…

And we have said that the program of the Prophets is to awaken and improve the intellect of humankind. People’s souls can be compared to the oil of a lamp, which cannot ignite by itself, and the message of the Prophets and Imams is like the fire that ignites this oil. Until you bring fire to the lamp’s oil, it will not ignite.

We have seen that the Prophets’ call was gradually developing and growing as an embryo. But at the same time, the anti-appeal, the counter-current of the collective “nafs ammara,” “the soul that calls for evil,” the Pharaoh of humankind, developed. Magic-based paganism became more and more sophisticated, more elaborate, and formed. Huge written discourses were created, and social systems, kingdoms, and empires took shape… At a certain stage, both of these streams merged into such a thing as Christianity (we will consider it in detail later). Finally, all this has resulted in today’s global apocalyptic civilization, which is entirely dominated by “nafs ammara,” and this stage, in sha Allah, will be the last before the reappearance of the Imam.
